Service will be provided within the "service area of the Municipality of Brighton and the City of Quinte West and eastward to Belleville." Trips outside the service area may be arranged through the office but priority trips will be given to residents of Brighton and Quinte West. Quinte Access also provides long distance medical transportation for persons in wheelchairs only.
There are two types of service with Quinte Access :
1. Subscription Service
2. Non - Subscription Service
This is designed to accommodate travel for employment, education and medical appointments on a daily and/or weekly basis with the same pickup and drop off times and destinations. These trips do no require a call to the dispatcher to book each trip and if approval is given the customer is billed monthly.
This service is operated somewhat like a taxi service. There are no pre-bookings and the customer is required to call in at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to book each trip. If the exact requested time slot is filled, every effort will be made to arrange an alternate time agreeable to the customer. It is suggested to call and book the trip as soon as you know the date and time of the trip.
